Minerva Consulting uses a Tesla Model X, and previously used a Tesla Model S, a Nissan Leaf, a Think City, and a Toyota RAV4 EV electric vehicles charged using clean wind and solar power from Palo Alto Green from the City of Palo Alto Utilities. The electric cars annually save about 7 tons of Carbon Dioxide, 20 pounds of Volatile Organic Compounds, 700 pounds of Carbon Monoxide, and 30 pounds of Nitrogen Oxides over comparable gasoline-powered vehicles. Our use of Palo Alto Green power saves at least 5 more tons of Carbon Dioxide emissions, for reduction of at least 12 tons of Carbon Dioxide emissions.
We have also offset over 95 tons of Carbon Dioxide emissions through payments to a combination of the Cool It! campaign (a collaboration between Acterra, 3 Phases Energy, and Loma Prieta Chapter, Sierra Club) and the CarbonFund, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Note that this offset of over 95 tons is more than twice the carbon footprint of Minerva Consulting. We are proud to make Minerva Consulting carbon free.
